This includes Facebook’s first data center in Asia.
Sunseap has signed an agreement with Facebook to supply its first custom-built data center in Asia with renewable energy as well as all of its operations in Singapore.
The agreement will reduce Facebook’s greenhouse gas emissions by 75%, a press release said.
The energy will come from Sunseap’s solar projects located on the rooftops of 1,200 public housing residential blocks and 49 government buildings with an estimated 100MWp of solar capacity when completed next year.

Jack Ma’s Ant Group has a narrow window to make its much-anticipated market debut ahead of U.S. election turbulence. Now its bankers must grapple with any potential delays stemming from a debate in Washington over restrictions on the payments behemoth.
This was thanks to newly-acquired assets in Australia. SPH REIT’s net property income (NPI) remained resilient for its fiscal year 2020, registering a 1.2% climb to reach $181.9m (US$133.7m), the company said in a media briefing.
WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. consumers cut back on their borrowing in August, with credit card use dropping for a sixth straight month, reflecting caution in the midst of the pandemic-triggered recession. The Federal Reserve said Wednesday that total borrowing fell by $7.2 billion after a gain of $14.7 billion in July. It was the first decline since a $12 billion fall in May when pandemic-driven shutdowns ground the economy to a near standstill. The…

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump on Wednesday tried to salvage a few priority items lost in the rubble of COVID-19 relief talks that he blew up, pressing for $1,200 stimulus checks and new aid for airlines and other businesses hard hit by the pandemic. In a series of tweets, Trump pressed for passage of these chunks of assistance, an about-face from his abrupt and puzzling move Tuesday afternoon to abandon talks with a longtime rival,…
World shares were mostly lower on Wednesday after U.S. President Donald Trump ordered a stop to talks on another round of aid for the economy. U.S. futures were up slightly after dropping on Trump’s announcement the day before. Markets were down slightly in Germany, France and Japan but closed higher in Hong Kong. Hours after his tweets about ending the stimulus talks, Trump appeared to edge back a bit, calling on Congress to send him a “Stand…
